 I've been living in Istanbul for about 11 years, having come here for my undergraduate studies in film.

 I chose to study cinema because I see it as a medium through someone else's eyes, a medium through which I romanticize and reimagine life.

Following my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I'm currently pursuing a doctorate at the same university.

I'm currently at the thesis stage of my doctoral studies. At the beginning of my graduate studies, I became interested in animation, a subfield of cinema. To apply my film education to animation, I'm working on learning the programs used in this field and improving my drawing skills. While I'm not yet at the desired level, learning new things in this field makes me happy.

For approximately seven years, I've been a research assistant in the Department of Cartoon and Animation at Maltepe University's Faculty of Fine Arts in Istanbul. I chose this field to gain a deeper understanding of animation production processes and to learn new things more quickly.  As an academic, I am as passionate about teaching as I am about learning. Therefore, I'm always striving to explore areas I'm passionate about. And this learning process will continue until I become one of the top academics in my field.

As one of my favorite directors, Kim Ki Duk, describes in his film: “spring, summer, fall, winter… and spring”, each person's specific periods are like seasons, But for me, it's still "summer." I still have time to shape the field of animation in my own way, using the magical possibilities of the cinema world.

When I reach the winter of my life and grow old, I hope to have fulfilled that little girl's dreams in "spring."
